There are two main islands, Koh Yao Noi (Small Long Island) and Koh Yao Yai (Big Long Island) Koh Yao Noi being the more developed of the two.

Koh Yao Yai island also is a natural beauty, remaining the least developed of the two islands. Koh Yao Yai is significantly larger than Koh Yao Noi due to a lack of (basic) infrastructure in some areas of the island.
